About the Role

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $22.50 - $27.00 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and recognition programs.

 

The compensation rate for this position is for candidates located within the United States. Individual pay is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The Process Automation team of Schneider Electric seeks an intern to contribute to Secure Design Lifecycle (SDL) activities for product development.

 

You will work with global product team architects and developers on identifying, assessing, documenting, and implementing cybersecurity requirements for software and embedded firmware.

 

What will you do?

  • Assisting product teams with SDL functions such as Threat Modeling, Secure Code Reviews, Static Code Analysis, and Binary Composition Analysis
  • Analyzing penetration and vulnerability testing reports
  • Assessing and documenting product cybersecurity requirements through Requirements Management tool
  • Identifying and implementing solutions to meet cybersecurity requirements

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Current enrollment in a BA/BS program in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or Computer Engineering or directly related field required
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python
  • Experience with Software/Embedded Software Development in Linux environment.
  • Experience with GIT, CI/CD processes, and DevOps
  • Knowledge of Secure Design Lifecycle activities: Threat Modeling, Static Code Analysis, Binary Composition Analysis, Penetration Testing
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles such as cryptographic libraries/functions, PKI, secure boot and coding standards
  • Knowledge of Vulnerability Management principles: CVSS scoring, CWE/CVE
  • Ability to understand product requirements and design possible solutions.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to deliver efficiently.
  • Effective communication abilities to foster team engagement.
