Location: Kallang

 

The Role:

The Intern will support Tender Managers and Engineers in tender preparation activities for Building Management System (BMS) projects. This role provides handson exposure to engineering documentation, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimation processes, supporting timely and accurate tender submissions. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support Tender Managers/Engineers in tender preparation and submission 
  • Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications 
  • Study architectural and engineering layouts 
  • Prepare equipment schedules, point lists, and BOQs using Excel 
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs (devices, panels, cables) 
  • Support documentation control and compilation of tender packages 
  • Assist in costing inputs and data preparation for estimation tools 
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet tender timelines 

 

Learning & Development 

  • Exposure to BMS tendering and cost estimation workflows 
  • Practical understanding of engineering, procurement, and project parameters 
  • Handson experience with Excelbased engineering and costing tools 
  • Realworld experience supporting live tenders and projects 

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

 

  • Undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in:  
  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering 
  • Mechanical Engineering 
  • Building Services / Engineering (or related discipline) 
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel 
  • Detailoriented, organized, and eager to learn 
  • Able to commit fulltime for the internship duration 

 

Preferred (Not Mandatory) 

  • Basic knowledge of BMS / ACMV / Electrical systems 
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools
