🏢Departament and Project description: 

Our mission is to transform the way the Meliana plant makes decisions by interconnecting, integrating, and unifying all data sources across departments. 

We aim to build a strong and sustainable data culture that becomes part of the plant’s DNA for years to come. Through this initiative, we will ensure high data quality with dedicated control mechanisms, enable advanced simulation capabilities, provide instant reporting through BI and GenAI tools, and remain fully adaptable to future changes. 

This project represents a strategic step toward building a smarter, more connected, and more efficient factory—where data flows seamlessly and supports every decision. 

An intern joining this initiative will be part of a highimpact transformation, collaborating with multiple departments and contributing to the foundations of Meliana’s future digital ecosystem. 

 

🚀What will you learn? 

Data Analysis & Insight Generation 

  • How to analyze data (metrics, processes, risks) and extract meaningful insights. 

  • How to correlate indicators to identify trends, anomalies, or emerging risks. 

  • How to benchmark internal metrics against global and local bestpractice guidelines. 

  • How to analyze data requirements from support functions to understand operational needs and constraints. 

Data Visualization & Reporting 

  • How to build highimpact dashboards and visualizations using Tableau. 

  • How to create instant reporting flows that support decisionmaking across departments. 

  • How to document processes, visualizations, and analytics workflows in a clear and structured way. 

KPI Framework & Compliance Analytics 

  • How to review the current KPI framework of the team and identify improvement opportunities. 

  • How to validate KPIs through data quality checks, reliability assessments, and rootcause analysis. 

Data Governance & Digital Ecosystem Mapping 

  • How to identify different data sources and data entry points across the plant. 

  • How to list and assess shadow IT applications used in different teams. 

  • How to define a unified data hierarchy to standardize data sources, naming conventions, and applications. 

  • How to define data governance roles, people hierarchy, and responsibilities across departments. 

  • How to establish data audit structures to ensure accuracy, traceability, and longterm data quality. 

🔍 Are you who we are looking for? 

  • DegreeorMaster’sstudent in Industrial EngineeringAutomation EngineeringIndustrial Organization Engineering or Data Analytics.  

  • Knowledgeorinterest in learning:  

  • Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

  • Microsoft SQL Express.  

  • Tableau.  

  • Python. 

  • PLC Programming. 

  • Visio. 

  • Analyticalmindset and strongattentiontodetail.  

  • Clear and effectivecommunicationskillswiththeabilitytocollaborateacrossteams.  

  • Outgoingness and desire to learn 

  • Be able to work between 4 and 6 hours a day (Monday to Friday) and be available in the morningsThe schedule is flexible and you can start between 8 and 10am.  

  • To be able to make an internship agreement with your university or study center for a period of at least 6 months. 

  • Be available to start between February and March. 

  • High English level
