About the Role

Job Purpose and Impact:

The Production Engineering Intern will be part of our plant operations team, supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities and learning how production systems run in a real-world environment. This role offers hands-on exposure to edible oil manufacturing processes such as refining, fractionation, hydrogenration etc, process optimization, and plant operations, while working alongside experienced teams to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. 

 

Key Accountabilities

1. Production & Plant Operations (90%)

• Support manufacturing teams in day-to-day plant operations and problem-solving.
• Gain exposure to key processes including refining, fractionation, hydrogenation, and chemical interesterification.
• Assist in identifying operational challenges and improvement opportunities within the factory.
• Learn and support basic process control mechanisms used in plant operations.
• Observe and understand key parameters impacting production efficiency, quality, and safety.

2. Pumping & Material Movement (10%)

• Support pumping operations and material movement within the plant.
• Gain understanding of flow systems, equipment operations, and safe handling practices.

3. Data Collection & Analysis

• Assist in collecting operational and production data from the plant.
• Support analysis of data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

 

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering. 
• Interest in production engineering, manufacturing, and plant operations
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and industrial processes
• Comfortable working in a plant environment and eager to learn hands-on
