Purpose of the role:
Are you interested in trading, investing and the world of finance? Do you love spotting trends, analysing reports and turning information into insights that make sense? If so, this internship is your chance to dive deep into the market insights that shape our business strategy.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in market research and competitive intelligence while working closely with multiple teams across the business.
You’ll be supporting our Market Insights Lead, helping to track competitors, monitor trends, and uncover actionable insights that guide decisions across the business.
Key responsibilities/what you’ll do:
- Support the Marketing Insights team to gather and organise data from multiple sources - analytics, agency reports, industry studies, audience trends, and more.
- Monitor what competitors, neo-brokers, and banks are doing - pricing, offers, messaging, ads - and keep the Marketing Insight team up to speed.
- Stay informed with industry publications/providers (e.g. Financial Times, Boring Money).
- Track conversations on forums, Reddit, and social media to spot trends, opportunities, and what people are saying about investing and ii.
- Support the Market Insight team in delivering monthly/quarterly reports.
- Summarise and analyse patterns in media spend behaviour.
- Respond to ad hoc requests in a timely manner.
- Build relationships with colleagues across ii (Growth, Engagement, Brand, PR/Social, Proposition, and Data teams) to enhance collaboration and deepen insights.
To apply for this role, you will need:
- To be eligible to work in the UK
- To be over 18 years old as of 1st September 2026
- To be a 2nd year student in a full-time undergraduate degree with an industry placement year, in a subject relevant to this role
- To have achieved a minimum of 104 UCAS points at A-level (grades BCC) or an equivalent (e.g., BTEC DMM) qualification
- Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) grades A* to C (new grades 9 to 4)
