Summary: As a Sales Engineer Intern, you will play a crucial role in managing submittals, equipment selection, pricing, and shipping schedules for various projects. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a customer service-oriented mindset. You will collaborate closely with the Sales Team, Customers, and Manufacturers to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration
- Optimize projects through product selection, specifications, planning, estimates, proposals, value engineering, and redesigns
- Manage multiple projects concurrently
- Communicate with owners, architects, MEP Consultants, and General, Mechanical, and Electrical Contractors
- Organize project-related data for order entry
- Respond to and track IOM and Submittal requests
- Read, understand, and interpret building plans and specifications
- Develop and grow relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers, and manufacturers
- Identify project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet customer expectations
- Investigate concerns, implement corrective actions, and communicate with customers and co-workers to maximize satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- Working knowledge of HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management, or contracting environments
- Familiarity with MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting, engineering, or the construction industry is a plus
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strategic skills with an ability to learn new concepts and adapt to change
- Strong operating skills to organize tasks and manage workflow effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to work in both office and field environments

Salary ranges listed are dependent upon a candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the specific role and location.
