Purpose of the Role

This 2 year internship aims to develop strong foundations in steel structure construction at HPC. The intern will gain hands‑on experience on site, supporting construction management, quality control, coordination with subcontractors, and progress monitoring.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Follow with support from the Construction Manager, the efficiency of structural erection activity: preparation, completion, punch listing, closeout and turnover to commissioning.
  • Assist the Construction Manager on data on erection progress, completed activity, forecast to completion, problem encountered, subcontractor’s performance, EHS report, preparation the quarterly Construction project review.
  • Support the Construction Manager in the preparation of the mitigation plans to minimize impacts: NCR, Punch Items, forensic events.
  • Assist the NCC Manager and the Site Contract Manager when needed.
  • Provide support to Construction department by familiarization of steel structure subcontract.
  • Involvement in daily and weekly meetings with Site project shareholders..
  • Hold weekly meeting with EP function.
  • Ensure that any required erection documentation is transmitted to steel structure subcontractors.
  • Coordinate Supplier and Site Technical Officer to detect clash and potential erection progress.
  • Participate to Quality Control inspection.
  • Develop KPI's and tracking method where needed.
  • Record and communicate outstanding works during erection inspections and random walk down.
  • Constant checking to ensure discrepancies/punch list items are promptly resolved.
  • Communicate directly with engineering to resolve and/or clarify any technical issues.

Qualifications and Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering discipline
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Logical and analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
