About The Company
At GXS, we're not just another bank. We're on a mission to make banking better for everyday consumers and small businesses. Better is a journey and we're here to stay the course.
About the Role

About the bank

We are a growing regional digital bank group and are revolutionizing financial banking services across Southeast Asia. Our mission is to unlock big dreams and drive financial inclusion throughout the region. As a regional digital bank, we have the right foundation—data, technology, and trust—because we are Built With Heart. We believe that real impact starts with real people. If you're ready to Own The Mission and help us shape the future of Digital banking, we invite you to join us.

About the team

As the Bank’s engineering backbone, we treat infrastructure and operations as software engineering problems, managing core systems across mobile, web, and backend using modern stacks like Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure. We constantly experimenting with automation and digging into system internals to build the resilient, secure platforms that move digital banking forward.

What You’ll Do

As an SRE Intern, you will work alongside senior engineers to ensure the reliability and scalability of our banking systems. You will:

  • Help design and develop software to automate manual operational tasks and improve system efficiency.

  • Assist in managing cloud resources (AWS/Azure) and Kubernetes clusters using tools like Terraform and Ansible.

  • Contribute to building and refining dashboards and alerting systems to monitor the health of our microservices.

  • Participate in troubleshooting sessions and help document blameless post-mortems to ensure we learn from every failure.

  • Work on projects focused on cost-efficiency and performance tuning of our containerized environments.

  • Research new tools and methodologies in the DevOps/SRE space and present your findings to the team.

What You’ll Need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

  • Basic understanding of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and a keen interest in Linux/Unix environments.

  • A strong desire to learn how large-scale distributed systems work and a passion for solving complex technical puzzles.

  • You aren't afraid to speak up, ask "dumb" questions, or tackle challenges you've never seen before.

  • A focused approach to execution and a sense of ownership over the tasks assigned to you.

  • Any exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), or CI/CD pipelines is a plus, but a learning mindset is most important.
