About the Role

Butler Machinery is looking for a motivated, people‑oriented individual to join our Ag Division and contribute to a wide range of sales and marketing initiatives. This role requires 15–20 hours per week during the school year with full-time availability during breaks.
 
Work Location: Candidates must be located at, and work from, our corporate office in Fargo, ND. Position is not eligible to be remote. 
 


 Responsibilities
:

  • Support the Used Agriculture team with marketing efforts for pre-owned equipment.
  • Assist with competitive program reviews and pricing analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic marketing and distribution plans for the Ag Division.
  • Research, analyze, and develop market penetration insights.
  • Partner with Inventory Control on new equipment inventory and configuration tasks.
  • Provide support to the Used Equipment Manager, including participating in customer calls and helping with special projects.
  • Work with the Ag Team on planning and logistics for various initiatives.
  • Travel with and assist the Sales team during customer visits.
  • Participate in training on Butler Machinery’s sales processes and techniques.
  • Works within and promotes the vision, mission, and values of BMC.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities
  • Strong computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
  • Outgoing, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple departments
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
