Job Summary

The People Operations Analytics Intern will support the People Operations team by collecting, analyzing, and visualizing employee data to help inform workforce decisions and improve people-related processes. This role offers hands-on experience working with real People Operations data, dashboards, and reporting tools, including Power BI. The intern will collaborate with People Operations and business leaders to translate data into insights that support organizational effectiveness.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in building, maintaining, and enhancing HR dashboards and reports
  • Analyze employee data related to headcount, turnover, hiring, engagement, performance, and compliance
  • Support data extraction, cleansing, and validation from HR systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS, payroll, etc.)
  • Partner with HR team members to understand reporting needs and translate them into data-driven insights
  • Create visualizations and summaries to support leadership presentations and decision-making
  • Help document data definitions, metrics, and reporting standards
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper handling of sensitive employee data
  • Support ad hoc analytics and special HR projects as needed

 

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL or other data tools is a plus
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information

Preferred:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Human Resources, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Power BI
  • Experience in construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive, multi-site organizations

Work Environment:

 

  • Primarily an office environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 25 lbs as needed
