­­Software Engineering Intern – Part-Time Onsite

Job Overview

Title: Software Engineering Intern – Part-Time Onsite

Location: Buena Park, California

Type: Temporary Part-Time Onsite

Hourly Range: $23.00 - $25.00 (based on experience)

Job Summary

The Software Engineering Intern will assist with design, documentation, development, and verification/validation (V&V) of software/firmware for embedded power distribution systems in airborne applications.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supports requirements review and tracing
  • Assists with software design tasks.
  • Contributes to test case creation
  • Supports design verification and validation (V&V) activities
  • Provides project administrative support.
  • Assists in preparing and delivering design review presentations using MS PowerPoint
  • Performs other duties as required

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled or recently graduated from a four-year university, pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Proficient in the C/C++ and Python programming language
  • Must possess advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills
  • A creative and innovative mind
  • Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Requirement Management and tractability in IBM Rational DOORS
  • Experience with RTCA/DO-178C
  • Knowledge of design, simulation, and analysis tools
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Experience with System modeling
  • Experience with STM32 microcontroller
  • Experience with Serial Data bus, (CAN BUS, SPI, Ethernet, RS-485, Mil-STD-1553)
