Global FLP: Your Executive Trajectory

The Global Future Leadership Pipeline (FLP) is SK Group’s premier executive fast-track residency, designed to cultivate the next generation of global leadership for SK. The SK Global FLP program will officially launch in 2027, and the summer internship will serve as the primary pipeline for the Inaugural Cohort.

• Strategic Internal Consulting: Function as an in-house task force tackling high-stakes challenges that drive executive-level decision-making.
• Executive Exposure: Gain direct visibility into decision-making processes, equipping you with core leadership competencies.
• Strategic Placement: Following one year as an in-house consultant at the Group Headquarters in Seoul, members are deployed to high-impact roles in the U.S. and Korea for SK companies including SK hynix, SK Telecom, SK Innovation, etc.
• Accelerated Growth: Formalized trajectory toward senior executive responsibilities in AI, Semiconductors, and AI Infrastructure.

[Potential Career Pathways]

• Product & Technical Strategy/Planning: Leading the roadmap for next-generation memory solutions (i.e. HBM, DRAM, NAND, etc.) with special focus on memory-centric development.
• Strategic & Marketing Leadership: Driving semiconductor market share and ecosystem partnerships globally, while shaping the long-term vision and competitive positioning of SK’s AI business portfolio.
• Infrastructure & Ecosystem Growth: Managing strategic alliances with the world’s largest AI infrastructure players and executing end-to-end infrastructure projects for next-generation AI data centers.

Global FLP Summer Internship: Impact & Responsibilities

During this intensive 8-week residency, you will take full ownership of a high-priority strategic initiative currently prioritized by executive leadership for one of SK’s core AI growth pillars. Rather than a generic internship project, you will lead a specialized initiative that aligns your technical pedigree with SK’s long-term roadmap in the AI infrastructure ecosystem.  

Candidates will be matched with high-impact projects within the following Strategic Domains:

• Next-Generation Memory Leadership: Exploring the strategic trajectory of memory-centric computing and high-performance solutions.
• Future Computing Paradigm: Analyzing shifts in semiconductor architecture and the evolving hardware-software integration landscape.
• AI Infrastructure & Ecosystem Growth: Shaping the roadmap for sustainable AI data centers, including power systems and infrastructure scalability.
• AI Model & Service Evolution: Anticipating how emerging AI services will redefine the global demand for underlying hardware assets.

Following completion of the project, candidates will present and advocate for their data-driven recommendations directly to the Top Management Team.

Candidate Profile

• Academic Excellence: Currently enrolled in a top-tier MBA program (Class of 2027).
• Professional Pedigree: Minimum of 5+ years of pre-MBA experience at leading AI, Semiconductor, or Big Tech companies.
• Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of semiconductors, computing, hardware-software integration, and AI infrastructure.
• Commitment: Full availability to be based in Seoul for the 8-week duration.
• Visas Sponsorship (via SK hynix): SK Group provides comprehensive visa sponsorship and administrative support for all selected international candidates.
• Language Proficiency: English is the primary language for all project deliverables, internal communications, and executive presentations. Korean language proficiency is not required.

[Preferred Qualifications]

• Advanced Technical Strategy & Architecture: Proven experience in chip design, AI chipset architecture or memory interface engineering from leading technology companies.
• Hardware & Infrastructure Engineering: Professional background in engineering, technical sales, or product strategy within the AI data center & infrastructure value-chain.

Compensation & Benefits

SK offers a highly competitive compensation package for the Global FLP Summer Internship, benchmarked against the world's leading consulting firms and Big Tech leadership programs.

• Stipend: USD 40,000 for the 8-week period.
• Logistics: Round-trip airfare to Seoul and premium corporate housing provided.

Application Process

• Application window: March 23– April 10, 2026.
• First-round interview: Conducted by Business Unit Leaders (VP-level); includes a two-part interview (Behavioral Fit & Strategic Case Study). Available in virtual or on-site formats
  (San Jose, CA). The first-round interview could be split into stages depending on scheduling.
• Final-round interview – Conducted by Executive leadership (President-level or above);
  Primarily held on-site in Seoul (travel expenses reimbursed).
