Job Description

The bioelectronics team works to develop new technologies for the Bosch Healthcare solutions business unit (www.bosch-healthcare.com).  We work on cutting edge technologies in the field of molecular diagnostics and are seeking an intern to work in a team-oriented group of engineers and scientists with the goal of transforming biosensors, and point-of-care platforms.  The primary responsibilities include testing and characterization of the nanoelectronic sensor prototype.

Qualifications

Required Qualification:

  • Currently enrolled as a graduate student (Master's or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field (recent graduates will also be considered).
  • Understanding of micro-/nano-fabrication and microfluidics
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a highly motivated team environment
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into simple to understand, communicable ideas.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Desired Qualification:

  • Experience with Patch Clamp, Potentiostat, or low noise electrochemical instrumentation a plus
  • Experience with electronics for biosensor applications a plus
  • Experience with nanochannels or nanopores a plus

The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $32.00-$64.00 hourly. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of degree, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, type of position, job location, etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
