JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for applying and gaining knowledge of the business environment and completing associated work assignments.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Data Management (50%)

  • Maintains investment databases to track and monitor prospective and existing investments in collaboration with Director of Investment Services and Investment Officers; pulls data and trends for due diligence reports.
  • Creates and maintains financial and due diligence databases through third party applications; creates templates to help track and monitor prospective and existing investments, including news flow and price trends—in collaboration with the Director of Investment Services and Investment Officers.
  • Updates peer analysis information to reflect financial results for prospective and existing investments
  • Assists Investment Officers in assembling reports and presentation folders, maintaining and observing fixed income maturity and excess cash levels via internally created models and observing client meetings as appropriate. 

 

Portfolio Management (25%)

  • Assists Investment Services team members in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and monitoring investments, including performing due diligence on managers and direct investments.
  • Actively participates in meetings with investments managers.
  • Conducts investment research related to SNB’s portfolio, emerging investment areas, and additional topics.
  • Prepare report packages for client meetings and subsequently attend client meetings in order to drive continued superior client service outcomes. 

 

Wealth Management Team Support (25%)

  • Assists with various projects from Trust and Wealth Management team – partnering with team members toward a common goal of exceptional client service.
  • Assist Wealth Management team in ad-hoc or special client inquiries regarding account specifics, market trends and economic developments.
  • Assists with preparing short videos and coordinating with the marketing team to ensure their effective distribution.


 

Performs other duties as required and assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge and understanding of basic investment concepts.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, and a high sense of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information, exercise judgement, and adapt quickly.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete required training by assigned due dates.
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE*

  • Minimum of a Junior or Senior standing preferred pursuing a B.A. or B.S. in Business, Accounting, Banking, Finance, or related field required
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Job-related coursework (core accounting, finance or equivalent classes) preferred

The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop or kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
