About the Role

Harvest Intern

Archery Summit Winery is searching for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as seasonal harvest interns for the 2026 vintage. Beginning in mid-August and ending in October/November, harvest interns follow all aspects of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay production from vineyard sampling to fermentation management to barreling down. We are also looking for one intern to begin in June to assist with racking and bottling the 2025 vintage. Ideal candidates possess a positive attitude, great work ethic, and the goal of making lasting, impactful wines. While prior experience is a plus, we encourage all who are passionate about wine and getting their hands dirty to apply.

About Archery Summit Winery

Nestled in the historic Dundee Hills AVA of Oregon, Archery Summit has been producing award winning Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for the past thirty years. Committed to holistic practices in the vineyard, we view ourselves as stewards of the land, and we are committed to crafting wines of intent. We farm sixty acres across five unique sites within the Dundee Hills, with our oldest plantings dating back to 1973. Our cellar features concrete, stainless steel, and wooden fermenters and Oregon’s first true underground wine cave.

Responsibilities and Skills:

Responsibilities of harvest interns include but are not limited to: Vineyard sampling, grape receival, fruit sorting, cap management by pump over and punch down, racking, tank dig outs, pressing, and barreling down. We value candidates who can work both independently and alongside our dynamic, close-knit team. The desire to learn and work through continuous improvement is core to our team’s success. Strong organizational and communication skills are required. As with all wine making, cleaning will be an integral part of our daily activities. During fermentation, we work on elevated surfaces or ladders, so applicants must be comfortable in these conditions. Forklift experience is a plus, but we hope all applicants are willing and interested in learning how to use a forklift. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be comfortable working for extended periods on their feet and in wet or cold conditions. Finally, applicants must be committed to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.

For those interested in joining our team in early June, prior experience racking out of barrels, washing barrels, and bottling are ideal but not required.

Housing and Benefits:

In addition to competitive compensation, we offer interns our guest house as accommodation while working. Located a short walk from the winery, our guest house sits surrounded by one of our vineyards with a stunning view of Mt. Hood and the Willamette Valley. The house features a full kitchen and washer/dryer. Lunch will be provided during fruit receival. Blind wine tasting is a core part of our harvest experience and rounds out our philosophy of continuous improvement
