Purpose & Responsibilities of Position:

 

The QC Data Trending & Analysis Intern will support the Quality Control department by performing routine trending of key analytical test results. The intern will help identify data outliers, monitor assay stability, and provide weekly updates to QC leadership. This role is ideal for a student interested in quality systems, laboratory operations, or data analytics in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate QC results and trends for critical tests across assigned product lines
  • Analyze test results for out-of-trend or out-of-expectation values
  • Summarize findings using standardized reporting formats
  • Notify QC management via email regarding weekly observations
  • Escalate any potential issues or abnormal trends
  • Assist in improving the data trending workflow and documentation
  • Present end‑of‑internship findings and recommendations

 

Skills/Qualifications/Education Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Candidate must be currently enrolled in 4 year degree program pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Biostatistics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field OR currently accepted or enrolled in Master’s or PhD program
  • Candidate must currently have GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
  • Proficiency with Excel or basic data analysis tools; Microsoft word and PowerPoint
  • Internship Program – Starts June 1st through August 14th

The estimated pay scale for Intern role based in California, is $18 - $22 per hour. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on education, experience, skillset, knowledge, where the role is performed, internal equity and market data.
