Job Summary

Join our Menomonee Falls, WI team as a Youth Apprentice in Assembly. This is an awesome opportunity to gain real life, hands on experience developing mechanical and electrical skills used in the assembly of power distribution and conditioning equipment for Navy ships and submarines.

 

Our ideal candidate will be willing and able to work full-time (40 hours) on first shift throughout the summer of 2026. When school starts in the fall, you will transition to part-time while working around your school schedule. This is a PAID position!

What You Will Do

  • Assemble and wire electrical cabinets and build production sub-assemblies using detailed work instructions and standard and specialized hand tools
  • Read, understand, and work to product documentation (blue prints, detailed drawings, procedures, etc.)
  • Correctly generate detailed assembly records documenting actions taken
  • Interface with quality representatives, manufacturing engineers, and/or customer representatives to ensure the highest possible quality on product manufactured in the time allotted and required
  • With guidance and oversight (from higher level Assembler) assemble, wire, and/or case pre-production products
  • Perform necessary changes, modifications, and/or repairs as directed
  • Maintain good housekeeping and safe work environment

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Enrollment at a partnering school and entering Junior or Senior year in pursuit of a high school diploma
  • Interest in manufacturing and operations as a career path
  • Availability that meets the operations and production schedule (full-time during summer; part-time during 2026-2027 school year)
  • Ability to work independently and also contribute as a team member
  • Basic knowledge and ability to use hand tools
  • Able to follow written and oral instructions; comfortable using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
  • General physical requirements: ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequent and stand for up to 9 hours a day; walking, lifting, bending, stooping and kneeling
