Position Overview

The EHSS Agentic AI & Multi‑Agent Orchestration Intern will help design and prototype enterprise‑grade agentic workflows that can transition from prototype to production‑ready implementation. This role is for candidates with demonstrated experience building workflow agentic AI systems (not just pilots), including agent coordination, guardrails, and multi‑step orchestration across enterprise data and APIs.

This internship focuses on building practical solutions that support regulated EHSS workflows and can be handed off for scale with clear architecture, validation, and operational considerations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement multi‑step agentic workflows to support EHSS processes (e.g., triage → retrieval → validation → structured output → handoff/actions).
  • Build and iterate agent‑to‑agent coordination patterns, including routing, delegation, and structured handoffs between specialist agents.
  • Define and apply enterprise guardrails (scope boundaries, validation steps, secure-by-design considerations, and escalation paths) suitable for regulated EHSS use cases.
  • Produce a simple, explainable API → agent → data architecture (how agents call APIs/tools, how data is accessed, how outputs are validated), communicated clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with EHSS stakeholders to translate real workflows into agentic solutions, including success criteria and acceptance tests.
  • Document production‑readiness requirements (testing approach, limitations, monitoring/telemetry needs, and deployment/handoff recommendations) to support moving beyond pilot.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience building agentic workflows or multi‑agent systems (coursework, internship, research, or personal projects) — must be able to share a project write‑up, demo, or repository during hiring
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar) and comfort integrating APIs
  • Ability to communicate architecture clearly and simply (workflow diagrams, interface boundaries, assumptions)

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing or implementing agent frameworks and agent orchestration patterns (routing, delegation, coordination, tracing)
  • Familiarity with enterprise workflow and automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot/Copilot Studio, UiPath, or similar)
  • Experience implementing guardrails and validation mechanisms to support reliable outputs and safe deployment
  • Interest in regulated or safety‑critical domains and applying structured controls in AI-enabled workflows
  • Applicants should be prepared to discuss a prior project demonstrating multi‑step agentic workflow automation, including orchestration/guardrails and integration with APIs or enterprise systems.
