Video Distribution Fellow (June 2026)

Business Insider is hiring a fellow to support the team with video distribution across social media platforms. This is a full-time, six-month paid position on a fast-paced team.

The Business Insider Fellowship Program is designed for early-career journalists seeking to grow their media careers, develop new skills, and gain industry experience. Video distribution fellows will draft social media captions and schedule posts across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Snapchat, and LinkedIn. Fellows are responsible for distributing new videos, recirculating evergreen content from our archive, and publishing breaking news videos from the vertical video team. The video distribution fellow will also assist with tracking video performance metrics and analyzing data to inform social media strategy. 

The ideal candidate should possess excellent news judgment, an interest in social media distribution, and a strong commitment to journalistic standards and ethics. Business Insider's social media accounts are the face of our brand, and members of the distribution team play a crucial role in managing our social presence and growing audience. 

Fellows are required to come into our New York or San Francisco office three times per week. Applications will close on April 17, 2026.

Role Requirements:

• Experience with and a passion for digital storytelling, social media, and distribution
• Excellent proofreading and copyediting skills
• Experience with packaging stories for social media
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask
• The ability to problem-solve independently and collaborate with a fast-paced team
• Editorial experience or an interest in journalism, data, and analytics
• Experience with content management systems
• Experience working with breaking news is a plus

Salary & Benefits:

• Fellows are paid $23 per hour and are eligible for overtime when needed and approved
