About The Company
Denison is a uranium exploration and development company with interests focused in the Athabasca Basin region of northern Saskatchewan – including its 60% owned Wheeler River project, which hosts the high grade Phoenix and Gryphon uranium deposits. Denison also owns a 22.5% interest in the McClean Lake uranium mill, which is currently processing ore from the Cigar Lake mine under a toll milling agreement, and is the manager of Uranium Participation Corp., a publicly traded company which invests in uranium oxide and uranium hexafluoride. About the Role

The HR Intern will support Denison’s HR team with a primary focus on payroll and HR administration. The HR Intern will assist with payroll processing, employee data maintenance, and responding to routine employee inquiries, while also supporting onboarding and other HR initiatives as needed. The successful candidate will work standard Monday-Friday business hours at our downtown Toronto office. This is a four-month contract position for students, or recent graduates, of a Post-Graduate Human Resources diploma program.

  • Support bi-weekly payroll processing, and assist with payroll adjustments such as vacation/sick leave
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll data
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries and provide administrative support
  • Prepare payroll reports; act as a payroll backup when required
  • Support onboarding documentation and maintenance of employee records
  • Maintain confidential HR records with a high level of accuracy
  • Provide support for HR projects, initiatives, and employee engagement activities
  • Assist with ad hoc HR administrative tasks and projects as needed
  • Currently enrolled, or recently graduated from, a post-graduate Human Resources program
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Interested in developing skills in payroll and HR accounting within a corporate HR environment
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

Rate of Pay: $25.00/Hour
