JOB SUMMARY
The Digital Marketing & Communications - Intern/Co-op is responsible for working under the supervision of Sr. Product Manager - Downstream Marketing and the marketing team in coordinating the execution of defined digital marketing and communications support tasks for THINK Surgical’s commercial strategy. This role involves supporting our commercial objectives including marketing collateral development, digital marketing, social media strategy, and meeting deliverables for the tasks assigned. This position is based in the Fremont, CA office.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic input for improvements and opportunities to strengthen the THINK Surgical’s brand awareness through digital marketing, social media and communication strategy.
- Support the development of style guides, templates, and materials while keeping the company’s vision, mission, and objectives in mind.
- Assist marketing team members on collateral development.
- Support the development and improvements to corporate website and social media presence.
- Support and implement public relations strategies.
- Support commercial team objectives, meetings and industry conference initiatives.
- Prepare metrics to measure and monitor results of marketing advertising and programs.
- Establish positive working relations with the marketing team, extended commercial organization and cross-functional team members.
Learning Opportunities
- Hands-on work collaborating with marketing, sales, orthopedic surgeons, and cross-functional team members.
- Training and hands-on exposure to commercial strategy and marketing initiatives in the surgical robotic industry.
- Support and work with external agency projects, collateral development, and communications.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Minimum two years of undergraduate study or graduate student pursuing a marketing, digital marketing/social media or communications course of study or recently graduated with a degree/certificate in marketing, communications or a related field.
- Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Competency in social media platforms including LinkedIn, Meta (Instagram, Facebook), Twitter/X and YouTube.
- Experience with digital marketing and/or social media strategy.
- Basic problem solving and analytical skills.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of regulated industries – e.g. medical device, biotechnology, pharmaceutical.
- Prior experience of executing digital marketing, communications and/or social media campaigns for medical device.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position and operate office equipment for a prolonged period of time.
- Physical activities include, but not limited to constant manual dexterity, moving about the work site, and/or handling objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Other infrequent physical activities include, but not limited to, positioning self to complete assigned tasks, and ascending/descending floors and/or ladders.
- Occasionally work around moving mechanical parts.
- Must be able to work in a schedule that commensurate with business operation, including work during weekends, holidays and/or times outside of normal business hours.
- Must be able to travel as business necessitates (up to 10%).
