Department Overview

This position is in the Chemistry Department, specifically with the Chemistry Engineering Group

 

Position Summary

DCPP Chemistry Engineering is looking for a talented summer intern to help with updating some legacy spreadsheets, other programs, possibly a website, and other projects compatible with the intern's skillset. These improvements will help us save time and effort going forward. Specific desired skills include Excel (and VBA macros), HTML, Databases and ASP.

 

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $23.08 to $35.37.

 

Qualifications 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology and/or Information Systems
  • Students MUST be continuing education towards degree during and/or after internship

 

Desired:

  • 3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology and currently pursuing Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineer or Information Technology or other engineering discipline related to proposed assignment.
  • Dual major with second major being in Chemistry or some other physical science
  • Basic investigative, assessment and evaluation skills.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration and teamwork.
  • Comfortable with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
