Responsibilities also involve participating in meetings, providing follow-up support, handling ad-hoc reporting, and coordinating activities across different internal ING functions and teams.

ING in Asia Pacific

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

What does the Real Estate Sector Coverage do in ING?

ING Real Estate Sector Coverage team (“RE”) is a commercial real estate coverage team with a pan-European, US and Asian platform offering clients flexible, tailor-made real estate financing solutions for their global and local real estate financing needs.

The RE team in Singapore covers regional and local financing requirements for real estate solutions for both new and existing clients as well as outbound transactions from Asian clients going offshore to Europe and US.  Based in Singapore, the intern will work closely with the Singapore team and supports the team in promoting business in APAC and across ING’s Global Network.

What would you be doing?

  • Assisting the deal team in financial analysis, market updates, preparing credit paper, financial modelling, documentations, KYC process, etc in working through the life cycle of a deal or in annual reviews.

  • Participate in internal and external meeting and provide follow-up support.

  • Supporting the RE APAC team in any ad-hoc reporting tasks including banking procedures, admin forms and preparation of marketing presentations.

  • Coordinate client and internal activities across various functions within ING.

  • Facilitate and coordination with other ING teams (across sectors, products and locations) on transactions.

What qualities and skills are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

  • Highly inquisitive with a willingness to learn and attention to detail

  • Good time management skills and able to function well under tight deadlines

  • Team player with good interpersonal & communication skills

  • Competent in MS Excel and MS Word.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English

  • High level of self-motivation and professionalism with ability to take on challenges

  • Studying or having modules related to real estate is not necessary but is a bonus.
