Field Service Engineer - Intern

KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee and execute maintenance of steam turbines and auxiliary systems.
- Diagnose mechanical related issues and implement corrective actions, repairs, and part replacements.
- Provide on-site technical guidance to customer teams, contractors, and plant personnel.
- Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and instrumentation data.
- Plan outage activities, manpower, tooling, and schedule.
- Lead and coordinate craft labor and subcontractors during field service tasks.
- Ensure tasks are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards.

WORK QUALIFICATIONS:
- Internship at power generation facility preferred
- Training will be provided in the field, requiring rapid real-time knowledge transfer, estimating 6-8 months.
- Eagerness to learn, willingness to travel, interest in the technology are paramount for a successful field engineer career.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- B.S. in Power Engineering Technology/Operations or Marine equivalent
- 3.0 GPA or better preferred
- Involvement in clubs, sports, or leadership roles preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the role.
- Role requires 100% travel.
- Typically assigned between 6-8 months yearly.
- Job schedule may be nightshift or dayshift, working as many as 84 hours weekly.
- Role pays overtime and provides truck allowance, cellphone allowance, and per diem.
