Position Summary

Work closely with experienced professionals in their chosen field to apply what is learned in the classroom to real-life work situations. Under supervision, they will assist team members or directly perform day-to-day departmental functions and projects. They will gain an enhanced understanding of their field and the automotive manufacturing industry, laying the foundation for a successful career. 
 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks under supervision using defined standards and procedures.
  • Attends team meetings such as client meetings, production meetings, safety meetings, departmental meetings etc.
  • Completes designated projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and implement.
  • Assists in creating, analyzing, and communicating reports, presentations, or technical/user documentation. 
  • Engages with internal and external customers, providing support and building relationships.
  • Learns the overall concept of the company, including brand, customer, product, goals, and other company aspects appropriate to their field.
  • Becomes familiar with departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and industry terminology.
  • Provides suggestions to management for improving internal and external customer service and departmental processes.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters program at an accredited college or university.
  • Has completed foundational courses in their major.
  • Overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
  • Proactive self starter with a willingness to learn.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good verbal, written, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
