Job Information

A Weld Manufacturing Intern supports day-to-day production in a welding environment while helping improve processes, documentation, and overall factory performance. The role blends hands on exposure to manufacturing with engineering focused tasks, making it a strong fit for students who enjoy practical problem solving and working directly with production teams. 

Role & Responsibility

  • Create and update work instructions, visual aids, and standard work documents.
  • Collect data (cycle times, downtime) and assist with improvement projects.
  • Support weld production lines and solve minor production issues.
  • Update and make changes on Layouts.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams on small projects.
  • Assist in the continual improvement of factory safety, quality, reliability and productivity.
  • Assist in implementation of new tools and fixtures on the weld area. 

Job Requirement

  • Experience of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other 2D/3D CAD software (PTC Creo is a plus).
  • Intermediate or Advanced English is required.
  • Currently pursuing Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics (or related) Engineering.
  • Hands–on experience in mechanical work is preferred.
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to work with different departments.
