About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a 2026 Summer Intern at OSG in our Carol Stream, IL facility. This is a compensated internship with no health benefits or paid holidays/ vacation time and will run through the summer months of May – August.


Job Title: Project Engineering Intern

Position: Intern, 40 hours/ Week

Work Location: Carol Stream, IL 

Onsite: 4 days a week


Responsibilities

• Project engineering support for equipment installations in the facility

• Assist with LEAN implementation initiatives and continuous improvement activities

• Participate in workflow and process analysis, including current-state and future-state mapping

• Support data collection and reporting on equipment performance, production efficiency, and downtime trends

• General engineering and operations support across ongoing projects


Position Qualifications

We are looking for a highly resourceful and analytical college junior or senior student with the following attributes:

 • GPA requirement: 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and strong Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with an interest in operations and production environments.
  • Intellectually curious with a passion for learning.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail.
  • Ambitious and capable of working independently; proactive attitude towards professional development.
