Position Summary

As a Finance Intern, you will support the accounting and finance team with foundational accounting processes, financial analysis, and documentation projects that strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency. This internship provides exposure to core accounting functions, financial reporting, and business operations within a global organization. You will work closely with finance team members to gain hands-on experience with financial systems and business processes.

Location: Photronics – Brookfield, CT (US). This is an on-site position.

Duration: 10 – 12 Weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Process Support: Support foundational accounting processes and assist with financial reporting and documentation projects.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis and reporting to help improve operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • System Exposure: Gain hands-on experience with financial systems and assist in documenting business processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with members of the accounting and finance team to support day-to-day administrative and financial tasks.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes)

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability to analyze financial data and identify inconsistencies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly to team members.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data organization, pivot tables preferred). 
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks independently while collaborating with a team.

Education

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Current Sophomore, Junior or Senior preferred.
