Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager Development Engineering, you will be part of the R&D team contributing to the development of innovative acoustic wave radio frequency devices. As an R&D Intern (Praktikant), you will support the team in developing new products, tools and processes.

What’s attractive about this opportunity?

This position will expose you to fundamentals of Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) devices for Radio Frequency (RF) applications and the manufacturing processes to produce these. It will allow you to improve your engineering skills and apply your theoretical knowledge.

More details on the expectations and responsibilities in this position:

  • Contribution to design and execution of a test campaign to characterize acoustic wave devices under harsh environmental conditions.
  • Contribution to advanced Finite Element Modeling (FEM) of thermo-mechanical stress effects in complex package constructions involving different and anisotropic materials.
  • Ability to understand and effectively apply fundamental concepts from different engineering disciplines, as required for microwave acoustic devices.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent discipline.
  • 0-3 years of working experience.

 Competencies

  • Ability to prepare and conduct tests and evaluate the results.
  • Basic knowledge in physics of wave propagation.
  • Desirable: Basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis tools (preferably Ansys)
  • Thorough working attitude and eagerness to learn new skills and apply acquired theoretical knowledge.
