Internship Program Details:
Infinite Electronics is offering students the opportunity to participate in our new summer internship program! Interns can expect to be provided with meaningful, hands-on work experience across various departments within our organization. Participants in the program can expect to learn, contribute, engage across the business. Participants will also engage in professional development networking events and attend guest speaker events providing exposure to leaders across the organization. Interns are expected to complete and present a meaningful, business-aligned project to senior leadership at the end of the program.
The 12-week internship program starts May 11, 2026, and participants must be available to work on-site to be considered for the program.
Applicants do not need formal work experience. This role is designed for students looking to grow, learn, and apply academic concepts in a practical environment.
Position Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship provides hands-on experience in various HR functions including recruitment, employee engagement, HR operations, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is eager to learn about HR philosophies, strategies, processes and contribute to building a positive workplace culture.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Support onboarding activities for new employees.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and HR events.
- Help prepare HR documents, reports, and presentations.
- Respond to basic employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Support HR team with administrative tasks and day-to-day operations.
- Participate in HR projects related to talent management, training, or policy development.
HR Functional Exposure & Rotational Learning
As part of the internship program, the intern will gain exposure to multiple HR functions to better understand how different areas of Human Resources support the organization. Through structured learning sessions, project participation, and shadowing opportunities, the intern may rotate through or collaborate with teams across several HR disciplines, including:
- Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Supporting recruiting coordination, learning the hiring process, and observing candidate evaluation and selection practices.
- Payroll Gaining insight into payroll processes, compliance considerations, and how employee compensation is administered.
- Total Rewards & Benefits Learning how compensation, benefits, and wellness programs support employee engagement and retention.
- HR Operations & Analytics Exposure to HR systems, reporting, workforce data, and how analytics are used to support decision making and organizational planning.
Work Schedule & Environment Requirements:
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
- Must be able to work on-site at the Irvine, CA site.
- Must have reliable transportation to commute to the office.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Pursuing or a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or related field.
- Strong interest in building a career in Human Resources.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Reports To: Human Resources Business Partner
Physical Job Requirements:
- Sitting or standing for extended periods while performing computer-based work
- Using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers
- Occasionally required to move around the office to attend meetings or assist with HR activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, including exchanging information with employees and candidates.
- Occasionally may need to lift or move office materials up to 10–15 pounds (e.g., files, documents, event materials).
