About the Role

Overview:

Are you looking for an opportunity to intern at a great organization this summer? Kamatics Corporation in Bloomfield, CT is seeking several interns in a variety of disciplines to join their team to experience an environment enriched with collaboration and learning. The internship will include a robust onboarding program, provide opportunities for professional growth with challenging assignments, an opportunity to give back to the community with a volunteer day, and will encourage interns to participate in a collaborative project with their intern peers.

Individuals that will be an ideal fit for Kamatics are motivated, dependable, and seeking to work in a fast-paced environment. The internship duration is expected to run through the summer months and will last approximately 10 to 12 weeks. Interns will be expected to work approximately 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday; work hours may be flexible.


Responsibilities

· Gathering data for quotes, sending quotes to suppliers

· Part Characteristic project-aligning our purchase part descriptions to the material types for ease of discovery, ordering and data collection

· Admin support for the team all of which will be related to purchasing

· Data collection for metrics such as on time delivery and updating contract status with suppliers

Education:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business Management or other related discipline

Experience:

· Entry level position. Related internships or co-ops are a plus.

· Proficient in MS Office

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., walk for distances including use of stairs, wear steel-toe shoes, safety glasses and other personal protective equipment as required. Work with and around machinery, chemicals, heat, and cold.
