Job Overview
The Student Intern (Part Time) Organizational Development is responsible for the matriculation and successful completion of district internship program(s). The Student Intern (Part Time) Organizational Development is responsible for implementation of the mission and vision of the assigned department in and through the assigned projects utilizing real world practices, evolving skill sets, attitudes, and behaviors. The incumbent will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful execution and completion of the project(s) while meeting compliance requirements of the district, local, state, and federal policies. The student intern will work 19 hours per week.
Qualification Requirements

The position requires occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/carrying work related items weighing less than 40 pounds, such as books, papers and presentation materials. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development is required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.

Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborative Community
- Collaborate with assigned mentor and other stakeholders to complete project tasks in a timely manner
- Work in a self-contained, team, and department setting at the assigned district location to carry out the department functions
- Support and participate in department activities including meetings
- Participate in the end-of-year internship program summary activity
- Adhere to district confidentiality policies
- Request assistance when needed in order to ensure tasks are completed with fidelity
- Maintain a positive and professional decorum
- Adhere to district and department employee policies and procedures
- Complete the internship summary document within the allotted time frame

- Fort Bend ISD high school student OR former Fort Bend ISD student currently enrolled in an institution of higher education
- Possess a moral and ethical compass
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of technology and software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employers, peers, and community members as required by department
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to adhere to specific department policies and procedures
