The Brattle Group is looking for a Stagiaire – Research Analyst in International Arbitration, to work out of our Paris office.

STAGIAIRE - RESEARCH ANALYST, INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION  

We are seeking an intellectually curious team player with strong quantitative and analytical skills to join our Paris office as a Research Analyst Intern for a 6-month internship (stage) starting between July - September 2026. This internship will support our International Arbitration practice, where you will participate in project teams with senior consulting staff and leading industry experts, analysing complex matters such as asset valuation, international arbitration in the energy market and varied infrastructure related projects.

About the Role

As a Research Analyst Intern, you will play an integral role in project teams, contributing to complex economic and financial analyses related to international disputes. You will gain hands-on experience in economic consulting and develop practical skills in corporate finance, data analysis, and research.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Combining economic theory and industry knowledge to solve real problems
  • Constructing models grounded in economic and financial theory to answer complex questions related to damages and valuation
  • Diving into data, using statistical analyses to extract information from messy data
  • Reviewing literature and industry trends to understand the debate around key developments
  • Analysing companies and markets; understand and perform statistical/econometric analysis and valuation work.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a quantitative discipline with strong academic performance, seeking an end-of-studies internship and eligible for a Convention de Stage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data.
  • Solid experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Python or R is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & French (fluency in another European language is a plus).
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
