Main Duties & Responsibilities

PennAero Summer Internship Program
 
We are currently seeking high energy and motivated students to join our team as a 2026 Intern at PennAero. These internship opportunities will be located at our RSA Engineered Products facility in Simi Valley, CA.

We are looking for interns in the following areas:

Mechanical Engineering
Project Scope: Supporting the Quality department with the Tooling Recall System and Inspection Calibration List System


Internship Course:
Over the course of our 8 - 10- week internship experience you will have the opportunity to:
Work directly with a mentor in your field of study while finding solutions to real world problems.
Experience our products up close by touring our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.
Interact directly with our company leaders to discuss strategy and the future of PennAero
Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities.
Gain the skills and knowledge to become a future leader in the aerospace industry.

Intern Salary Ranges
Bachelor's: $22.00 to $27.00 per hour
Master's: $32.00 to $34.00 per hour

Relocation:
Some of these positions offer a housing stipend based on candidate eligibility

This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the Simi Valley, CA location.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:
 
Current 3.0 GPA and above
Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity.
Prior work experience.
Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program 
This role involves access to technical data and/or hardware subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). In order to comply with these laws, employment is contingent upon verifying your status as a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15, or obtaining any required government authorization.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour for candidates in a Bachelors degree program and $32.00 to $34.00 per hour for candidates in a Masters degree program.

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location.  Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.  Further details will be provided by our recruiting team during the interview process.
