The details:

Our CI Risk Control team is looking for an intern to support the team’s efforts to modernize stakeholder reporting and enhance analytics capabilities. This 11-week summer internship will provide hands-on experience in data management, dashboard development, and business-focused reporting within a risk control environment. Under the mentorship of leaders and experts, you’ll have the chance to apply and sharpen your analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

This role is ideal for a student with an interest in leveraging data and visualization tools, business intelligence, and transforming data into meaningful insights for stakeholders.

Qualifications

What you’ve got:

  • 0-2 years of related professional experience
  • Working towards a master’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Ability to work with large datasets and apply strong attention to detail in validating and interpreting data
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience and strong desire to learn technical programs such as SQL and R
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
