The Compliance Intern will be assigned projects, attend meetings, and contribute to a range of initiatives under the supervision of the Company’s Compliance function. Job responsibilities are not limited to those outlined below; they may expand as needed to meet the Company's needs and the intern's skills.

The intern will report to the VP, Compliance

The time commitment is 10-15 hours per week.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accepts designated, business-focused projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present a final project during the internship
  • Assist in document management and ensure policies are properly archived and accessible.
  • Assist in researching and analyzing industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices (e.g., FDA, EMA, HIPAA, AKS, FCA, PhRMA, etc.).
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and communicate potential impacts.
  • Make notes and memos during meetings; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files
  • Support internal compliance audits by collecting, analyzing, and organizing data.
  • Support the preparation of regular compliance reports and presentations for management.
  • Analyze compliance-related data to identify trends, risks, or areas of concern.
  • Track participation and delivery of compliance training.

Knowledge & Skills

  • High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program
  • Professional, confident manner and poised and articulate demeanor
  • General knowledge of the MS Office suite, which includes MS Projects, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong human relations skills and be able to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
