The Opportunity 

 

As a Tax Innovation – Non-Technical Seasonal, Part Time Intern, you will engage in supporting tax process analysis and project-based work, gaining exposure to the dynamic world of tax consulting within our Tax practice. You will support teams by participating in projects, conducting research, and observing professional work environments. This role offers a unique chance to learn and apply approaches to understanding tax processes, and they work with technology to contribute to the success of client engagements. 

 

As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will support teams with basic tasks, observe and learn from experienced professionals, and participate in projects that enhance your understanding of tax processes and related project activities. This role encourages you to adopt a learning mindset, appreciate diverse perspectives, and actively listen and communicate effectively. You will have the opportunity to gather information, analyze facts, and discern patterns, all while building commercial awareness and understanding how the business operates. 

 

In this role at PwC, you will develop your skills in project coordination, process standardization, and business process improvement, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services to clients. Responsibilities 

 

- Supporting teams in project management tasks and contributing to the success of client engagements 

- Participating in the development and operationalization of service delivery models to enhance client support 

- Assisting in the digitization and process mapping of project workflows to improve efficiency and consistency 

- Engaging in stakeholder management and communication to understand and analyze customer needs 

- Collaborating in product ideation and development to align with business objectives and client requirements 

- Observing and learning change control processes to manage project deliverables effectively 

- Contributing to risk identification and project scoping to address potential challenges and optimize outcomes 

- Applying agile methodology and Kanban techniques to streamline project coordination and delivery 

 

What You Must Have 

 

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree 

- We are seeking eligible UT Austin interns graduating in May 2027 or May 2028. This 6-week internship, based in Austin from early October to mid-November, offers a blend of independent project work and collaborative team case solving with regular supervision. Interns will work 20-40 hours per week, participate in virtual and/or technical interviews depending on the role. The program offers hands-on experience with opportunities to apply for full-time positions post-internship. 

 

What Sets You Apart 

 

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Accounting, Data Science 

- Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA 

- Demonstrating active listening and communication skills 

- Engaging in customer needs analysis and product ideation 

- Participating in digitization and operationalization projects 

- Supporting project management through stakeholder engagement 

- Learning and applying change control processes 

- Observing and contributing to process standardization efforts

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
