The Opportunity

As a Tax Innovation – Technical Seasonal Part Time Intern, you will engage in software and product innovation within our Tax practice, focusing on software engineering. This role offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in the world of software development, where you'll be involved in conceiving, designing, and maintaining applications and frameworks. As an Intern, you will support teams by participating in projects, observing professional work environments, and contributing to the team's success through basic tasks and research. This position emphasizes learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices, allowing you to develop your personal brand and build commercial awareness.

In this role at PwC, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of programming languages and development platforms to create innovative solutions. You will also gain exposure to business requirements analysis and coding standards, enhancing your understanding of software development methodologies. This is an entry-level position that encourages you to apply a learning mindset, appreciate diverse perspectives, and actively listen and communicate ideas effectively. Responsibilities

- Supporting software development projects by participating in coding, testing, and debugging activities

- Assisting in the design and implementation of application software using platforms

What You Must Have

- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree

- We are seeking eligible UT Austin interns graduating in May 2027 or May 2028. This 6-week internship, based in Austin from early October to mid-November, offers a blend of independent project work and collaborative team case solving with regular supervision. Interns will work 20-40 hours per week, participate in virtual and/or technical interviews depending on the role. The program offers hands-on experience with opportunities to apply for full-time positions post-internship.

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Computer Engineering, Computer and Information Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology

- Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA

- Demonstrating skills in application development and software engineering

- Utilizing troubleshooting skills to resolve software issues effectively

- Engaging in business process improvement for enhanced efficiency

- Applying intellectual curiosity to explore innovative solutions

- Participating in teamwork to achieve project goals and objectives

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
