About the Role

If you’re excited about design and ready to put your creativity to work, this internship is a great place to grow. As a Graphic Design Intern at Landscape Forms, you’ll collaborate with our Marketing and Design teams to help create visuals for print, digital, social, and web projects. You’ll get hands‑on experience applying our brand standards while experimenting, problem‑solving, and developing real‑world design solutions.

Along the way, you’ll work with designers, writers, photographers, and other creative partners who are here to support your development. Think of this role as a chance to learn from a skilled creative team, contribute your ideas, and build a portfolio that shows your range and potential, all while having fun doing what you love.

This summer opportunity would be 40 hours per week, on-site at our Kalamazoo, MI facility.

Qualifications

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
  • Basic to intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Familiarity with digital tools such as Microsoft Office, web design basics (HTML5 a plus), or CAD is helpful but not required.
  • Strong portfolio that shows creativity, process thinking, and problem‑solving.
  • Collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and a willingness to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Show enthusiasm for design and a desire to learn.
  • Support the creation of graphics for presentations, marketing materials, social media, web content, and internal communications.
  • Assist in developing layouts, illustrations, logos, and other visual assets.
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, and project teams to help bring concepts from idea to execution.
  • Work on multiple projects at a time while staying organized and detail‑oriented.
  • Follow brand guidelines and help ensure design consistency across all work.
  • Participate in team discussions and share ideas clearly and confidently.
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools to support project needs.
