As an Electrical Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the product line within the Airborne RF Electronics Department. You will be working as a member of a team that supports a production program under the guidance of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead in McKinney and/or Plano, Texas.

This position is a 100% onsite role.

What You Will Do  

  • Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to circuit card assembly (CCA)/Module and component levels to include analog/digital/power circuitry and interfaces.

  • Troubleshooting test sets down to component level to include analog/digital/radio and microwave frequency circuitry and interfaces.

  • Analysis of test data of products to make sure test specifications are met through use of SW (MATLAB) tools.

  • Updating and documenting FPGA designs

  • Modification of DevSecOps pipelines.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Sophomore standing level by the start of Summer 2026

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

  • Experience in  troubleshoot and finding solutions.

  • Experience with coding.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard. A 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.

  • Must at least be a sophomore by the start of Summer 2026 in Electrical Engineering

  • Basic understanding of electronics.

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and managing priorities on multiple tasks.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers of various experiences and who represent a variety of work and conflict resolution styles.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
