About the Role

SLB is looking for a motivated, curious, and hands‑on student or recent graduate to join our Calgary team as a Summer Intern supporting Directional Drilling projects. This internship offers a unique opportunity to support technical teams while gaining exposure to a dynamic environment where engineering, processes, and technology come together to support SLB’s operations. Interns in this program are assigned a defined project aligned with their background, interests, and development goals.  Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support day‑to‑day engineering and project activities related to Directional Drilling operations.
  • Develop and deliver a project assigned at the beginning of the internship, tailored to the intern’s academic background and interests.
  • Assist with design‑based and process‑driven projects, including documentation, analysis, and coordination tasks.
  • Collaborate with technicians, and drilling engineers to understand real‑world operations and engineering workflows.
  • Gain exposure to SLB’s industry‑leading tools, technologies, and engineering processes.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in, or graduated within the past year from, an Engineering diploma or bachelor’s program.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Exposure to or interest in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) is considered an asset.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
