The Business Analytics Intern will support business operations through data analysis, field research, and project coordination. This role will assist with identifying lead generation opportunities, analyzing operational trends, gathering agent feedback, and supporting business improvement initiatives, including Transportation Management System (TMS) migration efforts. The position offers hands-on exposure to operational strategy, process improvement, and cross-functional business support..
Essential Duties Job Duties
- Conduct data analysis to support lead generation efforts, including reviewing internal and external data to identify potential business opportunities
- Analyze trends in operational, sales, or network-related data to identify positive and negative patterns, risks, and areas for improvement
- Assist with compiling, organizing, and interpreting data findings into reports, summaries, and recommendations for leadership
- Support outreach to agents and field partners to gather feedback, understand sentiment, and identify recurring concerns or opportunities
- Document field feedback and escalate key themes, service concerns, or operational issues to the appropriate internal stakeholders
- Help track and monitor follow-up items related to agent concerns, process issues, or business improvement initiative
- Provide support for ongoing Transportation Management System (TMS) migration efforts, including data validation, process documentation, testing support, and administrative project assistance.
- Assist with reviewing workflows and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency during system transitions and operational changes
- Participate in special projects designed to improve business processes, reporting, and decision-making
- Prepare spreadsheets, dashboards, and presentation materials to communicate findings and support project work
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to support operational priorities and strategic initiatives
- Perform other related duties and project support as assigned
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Advanced computer skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word
- Proficient with using email
- Interest in a career in business operations, data analysis, logistics, supply chain, sales support, or process improvement
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent prioritization skills
- Analytical
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize information accurately
- Ability to learn new systems, processes, and business concepts quickly
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive business information professionally
- Reliable, responsive, and able to manage assigned tasks within deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship, part-time work, campus leadership, or project experience involving data entry, research, customer communication, or administrative support
- Experience gathering information, identifying patterns, or summarizing findings
- Current college or university student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook
- Experience using Excel for sorting, filtering, and basic data organization

Schedule - In Person, On Site
Minimum of 30 hours a week, 40 hours preferred
Hours are flexible within the range of Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
