Thesis work description:

We are seeking a Master’s thesis student to join our targeted proteomics group to develop and validate a new high-throughput targeted protein mass spectrometry-based workflow. The project aims to identify and quantify key inflammatory and fibrotic protein markers in vivo across chronic lung inflammatory animal models and patient samples, with the objective of establishing a robust, high‑throughput targeted proteomics method. Candidate markers will undergo further validation by western blotting and ELISA. The anticipated outcome is a fit‑for‑purpose panel of inflammatory and fibrotic proteins tailored to specific animal models to enable efficient screening. This thesis will be conducted as a collaboration between two AstraZeneca departments, providing complementary exposure to distinct scientific divisions and workflows.
