About the Role

Corporate Finance & Investor Relations Intern

 

Mid April/May through August 2026 – 4 months

As part of our commitment to developing young talent, we offer an internship where you will gain experience in Corporate Finance (75%) while also supporting the Investor Relations & Rating team (25%). This provides a diverse and exciting role where you will rotate between financial analysis and investor communication tasks.

 

The Role

We are seeking a Corporate Finance & Investor Relations Analyst Intern in The Hague. This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate finance and capital markets, with rotations between two teams to develop analytical skills and insights into investor communication and the energy sector

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Corporate Finance (75%)

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate investment opportunities and analyse commercial contracts.
  • Conduct due diligence, collect, and analyse financial data.
  • Develop financial models to support investment decision-making and valuation exercises.
  • Support the structuring and execution of project and corporate financings.
  • Prepare internal and external reports and presentations related to ongoing projects.
  • Monitor financing arrangements, cash flows, and financial risks throughout the asset and financing lifecycle

 

Investor Relations & Rating (25%)

  • Assist in preparing biweekly market updates summarizing key trends in financial markets and the energy sector.
  • Conduct analyses using Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ to identify trends and provide insights.
  • Support the preparation and execution of quarterly earnings calls.
  • Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate investor and stakeholder information.
  • Assist in creating presentations, fact sheets, and other investor communication materials.
  • Participate in interactions with rating agencies and investor meetings.

 

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant Master program (e.g., finance, economics, business administration).
  • Strong analytical skills with a basic understanding of accounting, legal, tax, and finance principles.
  • Interest in capital markets, including both fixed income and equity, with curiosity about global financial trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modelling), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with a structured approach and attention to detail.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required
