About the Role
 
 

OVERVIEW: This internship will offer the opportunity to gain experience while assisting the business development and marketing team.  The internship role is responsible for supporting our development team primarily by managing on-site events.  Role requires motivated, outgoing and self-sufficient individual, eager to learn.  Role offers ability to tailor to current intern goals (market research, etc.).  This is a paid position - 20 to 30 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES  

  • Primary responsibility –  Assisting in business development functions including preparation for, and working on-site events, assisting with internal marketing requests and supporting business development and marketing team as needed.
  • Other Responsibilities: 
    • Preparing for events; including assembling, gathering and transportation of supplies
    • Tabling, including set up/tear down and generation of leads with current and prospective members on site.
    • Basic credit union knowledge of products and services
    • Tracking/Reporting sales
    • Primary events include:  Sponsor company events (sign-ups, orientations at local hospitals and schools), occasional sporting event and community partnerships such as Indy Eleven games and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra events, and Community Relations Charity Golf Outings.
    • Data Entry - Assist in maintenance of CRM
    • Other duties as assigned

  

 Education/Experience/Requirements  

  • Minimum two years of education/working towards marketing and/or sales and/or business degree 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Accomplished at personal computer applications 
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with little direct supervision 
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel within the Central Indiana market 
  • Must be willing to work night and weekend events as needed
