About the Role

(Full-time Internship) 

 

Hours Per Week: Approximately 20-30 hours per week (standard business hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). Schedules are flexible to accommodate current student class commitments.

 

Approximate Duration: May/June 2026 through September/October 2026. Internships may last up to 11 months from the start date.

 

Hybrid Work Schedule: Interns are expected to work onsite Monday through Wednesday, with the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

 

Critical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize, scan, and file department and employee documents; maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Assist with compliance tracking, including training completion, I-9 documentation, and other required employment forms.
  • Support the HR team in preparing reports and tracking metrics related to recruiting, turnover, and employee engagement.
  • Assist with onboarding activities for new hires and interns, including preparing materials, coordinating orientation logistics, and supporting intern program communication and scheduling.
  • Assist with coordination of employee events, trainings, and professional development programs.
  • Help maintain and update HR policies, procedures, templates, internal communications, and other HR documentation.
  • Support the HR team with recruiting efforts for the intern program, including job postings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist the HR team with benefits administration and the Personnel Action Form (PAF) process.
  • Assist the HR team with the annual performance appraisal process, compensation administration, and incentive compensation programs.
  • Assist with tracking HR department invoices and expenses for budgeting purposes.
  • Research HR topics and issues as assigned.
  • Assist with other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
     

Work Experience:

  • Previous work experience in area of business management or relevant office work.

 

Education and Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or other related field.
  • Understanding of basic business management.
  • High level of confidentiality is a must.
  • A strong interest in the field of Human Resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Self-starter that can work independently, complete projects with little supervision, has a strong attention to detail and manage/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
