About the Role

(Full-time/Long-term Internship) 

 

Hours Per Week: Approximately 35 hours per week (standard business hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). Schedules are flexible to accommodate current student class commitments.

 

Approximate Duration: June 2026 through early/mid-2027. Internships may last up to 11 months from the start date.

 

Hybrid Work Schedule: Interns are expected to work onsite Monday through Wednesday, with the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

 

Basic Function of the Position:
This position will support CTA’s digital health programs, including CTA’s Health Division, Health Technology Policy Workgroup, FDA Workgroup, and Health AI Workgroup.

 Critical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support research and development of policy issue briefs on issues such as health AI, virtual care, and health data privacy.
  • Attend legislative hearings and stakeholder meetings and summarize for relevant CTA staff and members.
  • Assist CTA staff with organizing workgroup meetings, taking notes, and sending workgroup follow up.
  • Support CTA staff in outreach to Capitol Hill and the Administration on digital health related issues.
  • Managing projects and updating the team via project management tools like Asana.
  • Help plan and manage CTA hosted digital health in-person and virtual events, partner convenings, and other projects.
  • Help organize CES 2027 digital health related conference programming.

 

Work Experience:

  • Experience coordinating teams and managing projects.
  • Work and/or internship experience in an office environment preferred. 
  • Experience reading and interpreting federal legislation and regulations preferred.
     

Education and Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in political science, public policy, public administration, public health, or other related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills, with professional writing/editing experience a plus.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to write/edit at a competent level.
  • Must work well within a team, communicate well with colleagues, and be comfortable working remotely.


Additional Information:

  • Travel to CES 2027 is required.
  • PAID Internship.
