We are seeking a motivated and dependable Environmental Field Technician Intern to join our Field Services team in Reading, PA for Summer 2026.


 

This is a hands-on, field-based internship where you’ll support water quality testing at local public pools. You’ll gain real-world experience in environmental sampling, field operations, and regulatory compliance, making it a great opportunity for students pursuing environmental science, biology, public health, or related fields. 



Please note: This is a temporary, full-time paid internship anticipated to run approximately three months, from Memorial Day - Labor Day 2026.



What You’ll Do

  • Travel to assigned sites to collect water samples from public pools 
  • Perform field testing and support environmental sampling procedures 
  • Accurately record and document data using mobile devices and company systems 
  • Transport samples to the lab while maintaining proper handling and chain of custody 
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and vehicles in a clean and organized condition 
  • Coordinate with team members to support daily scheduling and workflow 
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and represent the company professionally onsite 
  • Follow established procedures and safety guidelines to ensure accurate and timely work 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Currently pursuing a degree in environmental science, biology, public health, or a related field
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Comfortable using mobile devices and basic technology (Microsoft Office, apps, etc.) 
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, paid seasonal internship (30–40 hours per week) 
  • Monday - Friday with flexible shift start times between 9 AM and 11:00 AM
  • Approximate duration: 3 months (Memorial Day - Labor Day 2026)
  • Field-based role with daily local travel
  • Flexibility to work occasional extended hours or weekends to support business needs
