Position Summary

The Business Operations Summer Hire applies their educational experience in a real world setting within Taco’s Business Operations team. They assist the Business Operating System team to help define and process map internal operations processes for incorporation into the Business Operating System playbook. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with process management and documentation control.

Measures of success:

  • Successfully and accurately map internal process documents in Visio
  • Successfully document and deliver department promised to actual recorded delivery and in-process count 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist BOS Project Manager with departmental follow up and deliverables.
  • Create test plans and assist in testing of BOS documents and process flow.
  • Opportunity to audit departmental processes.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of special projects as necessary.
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Sophomore or Junior enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business or related field
  • Adaptable to changes in priorities
  • Ability to come up with new ideas for process improvement based on observation and analysis
  • A team player with enthusiasm, positive outlook and professional demeanor who takes initiative and direction
  • Solid organizational skills, strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Work Environment

This position works primarily in an office environment using computers and technology.  Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant and testing lab where large equipment and noise are prevalent.  Safety gear is required in these areas.

This position reports into the site every day.

This position has no direct reports.
