Who are we?

Established in 2017, trü frü rapidly ascended the “permissible indulgence” space as a Utah-based company selling one-of-a-kind “better for you” Hyper-Chilled and Hyper-Dried real fruit immersed in premium chocolate to retail outlets nationwide. As the Legal Intern at trü frü, you will gain hands-on exposure to corporate legal operations at a fast-growing consumer brand. You will play a meaningful role in supporting our social media compliance process, helping ensure that trü frü’s content is accurate, on-brand, and legally sound as we continue to build one of the most exciting presences in the snacking space. You will also support the legal team’s risk management research efforts, contributing analysis and insights that directly inform business decisions.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with the marketing team to review and approve social media content across trü frü’s platforms, ensuring all posts, campaigns, and influencer content meet legal and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor trü frü’s social media presence for potential legal exposure, flagging issues related to claims, endorsements, intellectual property, and FTC compliance.
  • Provide timely legal feedback on content to help maintain trü frü’s strong and compliant digital presence.
  • Conduct legal research on risk management topics relevant to the business.
  • Assist with contract review, document organization, and maintenance of legal files and records.
  • Support the legal team on ad hoc projects and general corporate matters as needed.

  • Someone who takes initiative and brings a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset to everything you do.

You have…

  • Completed 2 years of law school (preferred, but will also consider strong L1 candidates).
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Interest or experience in corporate law, advertising and marketing law, food and beverage, or consumer brands.
  • Familiarity with FTC guidelines, social media advertising standards, or intellectual property basics is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or entrepreneurial environment is a plus.
